Dear Colleague:

Late last week the UFWW Bargaining Team and the Administration reached a tentative agreement extending our current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for one year. This tentative agreement maintains all protections in our current contract with no changes, including any compensation increases associated with promotion, post-tenure review, and department chairs. In addition, the tentative agreement requires both parties to return to the bargaining table in October 2020 to bargain potential salary increases for the 2020/21 academic year. You can find the tentative agreement and a digest of the changes, provided by the UFWW Bargaining Team, on the ufww.org website, and at this link.

We also would like to invite you to an informational forum open to all faculty. UFWW will present the tentative agreement and provide an opportunity for questions. The forum is scheduled for April 23 at 5pm on Zoom (please see link below and note the password).

UFWW members and the WWU Board of Trustees are the ratifiers of tentative agreements for their respective parties. UFWW members will receive an electronic ballot Thursday evening, April 23^rd around 6:00pm. Voting will close at 6:00 pm Friday, April 24^th. If you are a member and do not get a ballot by 8:00 am Friday, April 24^th please contact me at president@PROTECTED.

If you are not a member and would like to vote for ratification, you will need to join UFWW. We are happy to process your membership quickly so you can vote for this tentative agreement.  Simply go to ufww.org and click the blue Become a Member button, download the form and fill it out, scan it or take a picture on your phone and it send to president@PROTECTED.
