The UFWW and administration bargaining teams met again on Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25. Minor progress was made. Virtually no progress was made on the key issues of workload, a real grievance procedure with binding arbitration, and compensation. Over the course of the two days, the administration increased their salary offer by only three tenths of one percent in an unwritten oral offer. The UFWW compensation proposal remains unchanged. The mediator called a halt to the bargaining at 6 p.m. on Friday. The UFWW bargaining team remains ready to continue bargaining, but no future meeting dates have been scheduled.
